Meet our partners
Flashback Photo Co isn't a faceless operation — it's a coalition of specialist small businesses, each bringing their own expertise to deliver something none of us could achieve alone.
When you trust me with a precious photograph, the work that comes back to you reflects more than my own effort. It reflects the skills, dedication and craft of a small network of people I've worked with — in some cases for many years — who share the same commitment to quality and care.
This page is my way of giving credit where it's due — and of being transparent about how the service actually works behind the scenes.
Lucent Imaging
Korske Ara, Owner-Operator
Korske and I go back further than Flashback Photo Co. We started Lucent Imaging together in 2018 — a fine art print studio in Canberra that we built from the ground up. Like many small business ventures, the economics eventually meant we needed to go our separate ways. But the professional relationship and the friendship remained.
Today, Lucent handles all archival printing for Flashback Photo Co — and I couldn't ask for a better partner. Korske has built something genuinely exceptional in Canberra: a studio that is both Canson and Hahnemühle certified, using Canon imagePROGRAF printers with 12-colour Lucia PRO pigment inks and an exceptional range of fine art papers. The quality of every print that leaves Lucent reflects years of dedication to the craft.
Every print is dropshipped directly to you in Flashback-branded packaging — carefully packed to arrive in perfect condition, ready to frame or display.
- Canson Edition Etching — textured matte
- Canson Platine Fibre Rag — subtle satin
- Hahnemühle Photo Rag — exceptional colour depth
- Ilford Smooth Pearl — semi-gloss, minimal glare
Caloundra Framing is Flashback's most active framing partner — currently generating two or more restoration referrals every week, with almost every job leading to a framing order.

Sam Budd, Owner
Sam runs one of the most active and progressive framing businesses on the Sunshine Coast. Established in 2002 and family owned, Caloundra Framing has been a Flashback partner since 2020 — and in that time has become one of our most valued collaborators.
What makes the partnership work is Sam's genuine enthusiasm for the service. He doesn't just refer — he promotes photo restoration actively in-store and online, and the results speak for themselves. Almost every restoration job he sends through leads to a framing order, and he's become a trusted voice in our growing network of framing partners around Australia.
Sunshine Coast customers can bring their photos directly to Caloundra Framing — Sam's team handles scanning, and once the restoration is approved, printing and framing are available in-store.

Penny Woodhouse, Owner
Penny has been a Flashback partner since 2019 — one of our longest-standing and most trusted collaborators. Based in Unley, Frames & Finishes is a specialist custom framing studio offering an exceptional range of framing services, from fine art and photography to 3D objects, medals and conservation framing.
What sets Frames & Finishes apart is their end-to-end capability. Equipped with a professional in-store scanner and full printing capability, they can handle the entire restoration journey — from scanning your original photograph through to a beautifully framed, finished print — without you needing to go anywhere else.
Penny's son Finn also plays an active role in the business, bringing a fresh perspective and digital savvy that helps Frames & Finishes stay ahead of the curve. It's the kind of family business that exemplifies what this whole network is about.

Digital restoration artist, Ukraine
For ten years, Kyrylo was an integral part of Flashback Photo Co — a gifted digital restoration artist whose work was consistently beautiful and delivered with quiet, dependable professionalism. Over that decade we worked together on hundreds of projects, and his contribution to the quality and reputation of this business was profound.
When Russia invaded Ukraine in 2022, everything changed. Like so many Ukrainians, Kyrylo's life was turned upside down. At the same time, my own business had hit a difficult period — and to my lasting regret, I drifted away from our collaboration at exactly the moment he would have needed that income most.
I include Kyrylo here because his contribution deserves acknowledgement, and because I hope this page reflects my intention. Growing Flashback Photo Co means being able to bring him back into the fold — and that is something I am genuinely working towards.
Flashback Photo Co is built on relationships — not transactions. The people listed on this page have all contributed something meaningful to this business, and to the work that goes out under my name.
Growing the business isn't just about revenue. It's about being able to work with the people who helped build it.
More framing partners coming soon
I work with a growing network of picture framers around Australia who offer photo restoration as part of their service. As those partnerships develop, I'll be adding them to this page — because every one of them deserves the same recognition. If you're a picture framer interested in joining the network, find out how we work together.
